About The Position

Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan is an 81-bed facility providing evidence-based treatment for mental health issues in adolescents and adults. They utilize an integrated medicine approach with therapies like yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music therapy, and nutrition. This role is responsible for reviewing insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations with patients, explaining insurance coverage, and collecting patient balances. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule primarily during afternoons (12pm-4pm or 1pm-5pm). There is a monthly bonus structure based on accounts receivable collection performance. The role is expected to transfer to an office in Lansing around mid-2027.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years experience working in a related Financial Counselor role required
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required

• Bachelors degree in a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Reviewing insurance eligibility, benefits and authorization with patients
