About The Position

The Financial Cost Analyst II supports manufacturing accounting and financial operations through inventory reconciliations, financial reporting, variance analysis, cost accounting, and MRO inventory support activities. This role partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Finance teams to investigate and resolve inventory, purchasing, receiving, and accounting issues while ensuring accurate financial results. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities who is comfortable working with large datasets, identifying root causes, driving process improvements, and partnering across functions to resolve complex business issues in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
  • 2 Years – Experience in Position
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, and other related fields or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory reconciliations and analyze inventory-related variances to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Support MRO inventory management by monitoring inventory activity, reviewing transaction reports, and investigating discrepancies.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Finance teams to resolve purchase order, receiving, inventory, and accounting issues.
  • Review and correct inventory, purchasing, and financial transactions to ensure accurate reporting and proper accounting treatment.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and other month-end close activities.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and support business decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain, and automate recurring financial, inventory, and operational reports.
  • Support cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, spending analysis, and profitability reporting.
  • Investigate and explain financial variances, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Utilize ERP systems, Excel, Python, R, Power BI, and other analytical tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and leverage automation to increase efficiency.
  • Demonstrate initiative, critical thinking, and a willingness to learn new processes, systems, and business functions.
