About The Position

52TEN is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its accounting function and build the financial foundation for its next stage of growth. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, month-end close, investor distributions, and the accounting team, while also partnering with executive leadership to improve systems, strengthen internal controls, and scale finance operations. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
Real estate or property management accounting experience required
Strong knowledge of GAAP muti-entity accounting
Experience leading accounting teams
Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software

Nice To Haves

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
Experience with property management accounting systems such as Rent Manager
Experience in process improvement and accounting system optimization
Familiarity with real estate investment structures

Responsibilities

Lead month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP.
Oversee financial reporting across multiple entities and investment funds.
Ensure accurate investor distributions and financial reporting.
Build scalable accounting processes and strong internal controls.
Partner with acquisitions, operations, and executive leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals.
Continuously improve systems and workflows as our portfolio grows.
