About The Position

PSG® is a global leader in pump, metering, and dispensing solutions, dedicated to the safe and efficient transfer of critical fluids. As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for high-level accounting, managerial accounting, and overseeing all financial activities of the company. This role involves managing the accounting department, from payroll to tax compliance, and reporting to the Finance Director. You will also play a key role in developing internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 7+ years of related experience within the accounting field.
  • Strong technical skills in all Finance areas such as administration, accounting, and controlling.
  • Good knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office.
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience with the ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and retain a high performing financial team.
  • Problem-solving skills: identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Judgment: willingness to make decisions, sound and accurate judgment, timely decisions.
  • Planning/organizing: prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, develop realistic action plans.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA and/or MBA desirable.
  • Oracle experience is preferred.
  • Work experience in the manufacturing field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end closing process, including journal entries and loading results into the Dover General Ledger System.
  • Assist with reporting templates required by Blackmer, PSG, and Dover teams.
  • Perform management testing of all functions per Dover Core Internal Controls to ensure proper operation and maintenance of policies and procedures.
  • Lead continuous improvement of the ERP system for aligned reporting and automated internal controls.
  • Manage and develop local accounting staff and indirectly manage overseas shared service centers (GL, AP, AR teams).
  • Lead all audit activities, including External SOX/financial, Internal SOX/financial, and sales tax audits.
  • Lead standard costing and the development of material/labor overheads.
  • Manage relationships with financial shared service centers and participate in process improvement.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances and recommend changes.
  • Oversee credit and collection activity, focusing on improving % current and DSO.
  • Lead the deployment of LEAN concepts in financial processes and continuous improvement of business processes and internal controls.
  • Oversee Segregation of Duties and conduct necessary reviews in line with Dover expectations.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis of operating performance and results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
