About The Position

Schwab’s branch team is at the heart of our commitment to helping clients own their financial futures. As a Financial Consultant, you’ll combine planning expertise with a thoughtful approach to holistic financial guidance including investing, retirement readiness, and education goals—serving as a trusted partner who guides clients through life’s financial decisions with clarity and empathy. You’ll start with a book of existing Schwab clients, giving you a strong foundation to build lasting relationships and grow your practice. Your relationship-building and communication skills will help deepen client connections and create meaningful impacts into the lives of the people and communities you serve. To set you up for success, you’ll complete our comprehensive training through Wealth Management University, a four-week virtual experience led by live facilitators, followed by an immersive weeklong bootcamp to connect with peers and learn from experts. After completing Wealth Management University, your individualized development continues through hands-on training and mentorship within your branch. You’ll collaborate closely with your branch manager, experienced peers, and dedicated mentors who provide guidance tailored to your unique background and career goals. As your career evolves, Schwab’s four-level Financial Consultant track offers a clear path for advancement, recognition, and leadership—empowering you to shape your future and make a difference for yourself, your clients, and your community. You’ll be supported by leaders who champion your development, invest in continuous learning, and empower you to expand your skills and responsibilities over time. This position offers a competitive base salary complemented by a performance-driven incentive plan, providing unlimited earning potential from day one. As you continue to build relationships and grow your book of business, your compensation will increase—rewarding your commitment and tenure in the role with greater earning opportunities over time.

Requirements

  • A valid and active FINRA Series 7 license required
  • Obtaining or acquiring FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license and Life & Health Insurance as it will be required during your tenure on the job.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage in warm outreach to existing and prospective clients, maintaining consistent sales activity to grow the book of business and strengthen client relationships.
  • Share and engage clients in discussion about market conditions, sound investing principles, and ideal wealth and long-term investment strategies for their personal situation.
  • Provide outstanding investor experience in addition to furthering your own professional development in Wealth Management.
  • Build strong relationships, engage and encourage trust, and deepen the client relationship by applying a focused client communication strategy, and exceeding client expectations.
  • Leverage Schwab specialists, Schwab advice guidelines, knowledge of the markets, and ability to inspire action to help clients progress toward achieving their goals.
  • Manage wealth on behalf of clients including: Retirement Planning, Education Planning, Investment Management, Banking & Lending Management, Insurance & Risk Management, and Estate Planning.
  • Adapt and implement change as the market and business conditions evolve.
