OptumRx is looking for a Financial Consultant to join our Optum Pharmacy Finance Team supporting the Sourcing & Trade function. This individual will support and manage reporting and analysis across all the Optum owned pharmacies for manufacturer value, special buys, wholesaler economics, data & service contracts, and legislative impacts. Financial support of these areas entails understanding drug cost economics, looking for financial opportunities, and reporting on financial performance. This role is critical to every aspect of our business and will require advanced financial modeling skills, attention to detail and the willingness to push forward in an ambiguous environment. This will be a highly visible role, with the opportunity to present your financial findings to various levels of leadership and serve as an integral part in supporting pharmacy leadership to drive financial performance across each of the pharmacies. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related fields
- Experience preparing and delivering financial results or modeling to management/leadership
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, large data sets, formulas)
- Proven ability to analyze data, summarize it, and provide conclusions

Responsibilities
- Lead accrual estimation processes across all Optum owned pharmacies and present to finance and accounting leadership on a monthly basis
- Manage the actuals reporting and forecasting for Sourcing & Trade value and develop strong working relationships with finance leads across each pharmacy
- Create and maintain financial models regarding various legislative impacts
- Create financial models that identify financial opportunities and help inform strategy
- Pull data to maintain and create financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Comfortable with navigating large data sets and standing up new and improved processes
- Comfortable working in an environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines
