About The Position

The Financial Clearance Specialist performs front-end revenue cycle functions before service to ensure timely financial clearance for patient accounts. The role requires at least two years of equivalent work experience in a hospital, medical office or clinic, or insurance company. High school graduation or a GED is preferred, and an associate degree is also preferred. The position requires knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as medical terminology and abbreviations. Knowledge of insurance eligibility, financial clearance, and insurance authorization, along with prior EPIC EMR experience, is preferred.
