About The Position

HAPO Community Credit Union is seeking a dependable and service-focused Financial Center Manager in Yakima, WA. This role is responsible for the overall management of financial center personnel, achieving monthly goals, ensuring adherence to operational guidelines and policies, and maintaining the financial center. The position may involve consumer lending responsibilities or managing the consumer loan function. The manager is also expected to support and participate in community activities and events, and to actively coach and mentor employees. Requirements

  • Must have a valid Driver’s license
  • B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or closely related field or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to exercise judgment, initiative, and always uphold confidentiality
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to handle oneself in stressful situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for financial center personnel
  • Achieving monthly goals
  • Ensuring operational guidelines and policies are followed
  • Maintaining the financial center properly
  • May have consumer lending responsibilities or be responsible for managing and assisting the consumer loan function
  • Support and be involved in respective community activities and events
  • Act as an active coach and mentor for employees
  • Support branch and efficiently work as a Teller or Financial Service Specialist (Loan Officer)
  • Monitor branch budget and assure timely payment of expenses
  • Participate in promotions and marketing efforts to assure growth in members, accounts, deposits, and loans to meet strategic plan targets
  • Research teller errors
  • Open and maintain IRA accounts
  • Open and maintain Trust & Estate accounts, and assist with Death Claims
  • Open and maintain all Commercial Accounts
  • Conduct and write employee one on ones, reviews and corrective action(s)
  • Provide Signature Guarantee
  • Attend and manage community outreach events
  • Resolve complex member complaints
  • Identify staff for in-branch cross-training
  • Ensure staff is current on all required regulatory training
  • Support Financial Counseling Certification
