About The Position

As a Financial Center Administrator, you’ll play a pivotal role to the smooth and efficient operation of our Financial Center. The focus ranges from providing seamless client service, managing reporting and payments, and maintaining key business partnerships to create and maintain a positive and energetic work environment. The successful candidate brings a creative, innovative mindset paired with exceptional organization and computer skills. They excel at prioritization with a sense of urgency, are able to work independently and take initiative, while collaborating effectively with other team members.

Requirements

  • Strong client-centric mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in an office environment, customer service or retail
  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems including Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, with the ability to interact diplomatically with people
  • Collaborative nature, with a willingness to contribute and support others
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and frequent interruptions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reconciling accounts or financial transactions – some ledger or bookkeeping experience would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, SharePoint and Oracle
  • Bilingualism in French and English
  • Knowledge of financial planning and services
  • Experience working in the financial services or insurance industry
  • College diploma preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and general office support aligned with Sun Life policies and procedures, including mail processing and client communication
  • Answer phone calls and greet clients
  • Responsible for reporting payments, expense cheque routines, and client inventory administration
  • Maintain information on targets, results and prepare reports
  • Oversee facilities management (premises & equipment)
  • Coordinate meetings
  • Contribute continuous improvement ideas and support initiatives for the financial centre
  • Provide basic on-site technical support and possess the organizational acumen to escalate and engage technical partners as needed
  • Provide support for the recruiting function
