About The Position

TJX Companies is seeking experienced individuals for a Financial Auditor II role within its Corporate Internal Audit team. This role functions as a business partner to the audit committee and executive leaders, focusing on talent development and leadership within operational and financial audit. The position offers diverse audit experiences across all areas of TJX's global operations, including financial audits, operational audits, integrated audits, and ad hoc projects. The company is a Fortune 100 company and a leading off-price retailer.

Requirements

2+ years relevant work experience in public accounting preferred
An undergraduate degree in a related field
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
CIA/CPA preferred but not required
Strong attention to details, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Strong technical internal audit skills, including a solid understanding of internal controls
Experience using modern data prep, modeling, or reporting software, including Power BI preferred

Responsibilities

Execute risk-based audits, including communicating findings with clients in a clear and timely manner.
Write audit reports that are meaningful and comprehensive.
Work with management to develop action plans to remediate findings and address areas for improvement.
Track corrective actions through to completion.
Partner cross-functionally to plan and execute new and existing audit programs, including determining risks, scope and planned procedures, while making process improvements.
Seek, learn, and use new audit techniques, as necessary, and share knowledge with internal customers.
Provide guidance or consulting on the development of applicable procedures and policies and the remediation of known issues.
Coordinate with auditors from our foreign offices to perform global compliance reviews, including foreign statutory compliance.
Work directly with external auditors on financial audits.
Perform detailed reviews of SOX compliance testing performed by department management as well as some independent testing of SOX controls.
Provide training and guidance to less experienced auditors.
