The World Bank Group (WBG) is a global partnership of five institutions focused on creating a world free of poverty on a living planet. As a major provider of funding and knowledge for developing countries, the WBG addresses the world's most significant development challenges. The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) is the largest multilateral climate fund globally, directing $13.5 billion through six Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) to 78 countries. CIF financing stimulates climate action in developing and middle-income nations by supporting transformative projects that reduce emissions, enhance resilience, and promote the transition to clean energy and sustainable development. CIF operates through a collaborative model involving governments, MDBs, the private sector, and civil society, ensuring climate finance reaches those most in need and testing scalable innovative solutions. In 2025, CIF pioneered accessing capital markets, securing $500 million in private sector capital via the CIF Capital Markets Mechanism (CCMM). CIF's high-quality financing and co-financing ratios empower developing countries, mitigate risk, enable pioneering investments, and drive transformational change. The CIF Secretariat requires specialized financial and risk management expertise for strategic budgeting, forecasting, portfolio analysis, risk reporting, and organizational performance. Consequently, CIF is seeking to hire a term-based Financial and Risk Management Analyst (GE) for the Financial and Risk Management team.
