About The Position

The Financial Analyst, Financial Planning provides financial analysis and planning support for the Health First Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) and its affiliates. The role analyzes potential new lines of business, develops business plans, and supports capital and operating budgets and long-range financial forecasts. It monitors and reports performance against goals and expectations and participates in teammate development. The analyst ensures the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables, supports IDN-wide projects and complex clinical business lines, and develops profitability analyses and financial recommendations in collaboration with stakeholders. The position also supports assigned business lines with budgeting, forecasting, capital requests, proformas, and key performance indicator measurement; analyzes trends with Strategy and Corporate Finance teams; provides finance training and assistance; maintains policy and procedure documentation; and builds effective relationships across the IDN.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
Two years of financial analysis experience.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Enthusiasm and a high level of job interest.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer abilities and oral and written communication skills.
Ability to relate well with customers and peers.
Knowledge and application of fundamental clinical and financial concepts needed to analyze departmental operational performance.

Responsibilities

Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of department deliverables.
Guide and support teammates by providing strategic and financial support for IDN-wide projects.
Support complex clinical lines of business using clinical and financial concepts.
Participate proactively in generating annual department goals and objectives.
Develop and share profitability analyses of IDN-wide projects and initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders on IDN financial recommendations based on analysis.
Partner with assigned business lines on capital and operating budgets, long-range financial forecasts, and measurement of key performance indicators against goals or targets.
Prepare and review capital requests, including relevant justifications, supporting documentation, and proformas where appropriate.
Analyze trends and metrics with Strategy and Corporate Finance teams to develop solutions, programs, and policies for the organization and business units.
Deliver finance-related training and assistance to Associates and customers.
Assist in maintaining documentation of policies and procedures.
Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and Associates across the IDN.
