About The Position

The Financial Analyst role involves providing useful information to management, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, reports, research, and analyses. This position requires close monitoring of the Credit Union's portfolio to maintain its quality, accurate cash flow and liquidity reporting, and fostering positive business relations with vendors and external contacts. The role also demands good coordination and effective communication with other departments, ensuring financial records are accurately backed up, and demonstrating Fortera Core Values.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in accounting/financial analysis experience
Working knowledge of financial analysis and risk management concepts.
General understanding of investments, financial research, and reporting.
Knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, procedures, and financial reports.
Familiarity with related regulations, statutes and filing requirements.
Minimum 1-3 years of accounting/financial analysis experience.
Able to accurately assess the cultural environment, exhibiting emotional intelligence and appropriate sensitivity while maintaining individuality.
Well organized. Attentive to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Solid written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work in a cooperative manner with others.
Able to appropriately manage multiple assignments and competing priorities.
Able to operate PC, related financial software and standard office equipment.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
