About The Position

This position will play a key role in evaluating and maintaining our standard costs, reviewing cost variances, monitoring inventory valuations, and analyzing our manufacturing costs to support accurate financial reporting and business decision making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Finance, Accounting, Computer Information Science, Business, or related field.
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills, including accurate typing, efficient data entry, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Must be detailed orientated
Ability to collaborate with various departments

Responsibilities

Gains a thorough understanding of the Company’s standard cost system and is responsible for maintaining and analyzing standard costing processes.
Analyzes financial data and cost deviations to determine variance explanations.
Monitors inventory accuracy through transaction reviews, cycle counts, and variance analysis to ensure proper accounting per Company guidelines.
Collaborates with other departments to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting.
Prepares cost and inventory analysis to support month-end close, audits, budgeting, and management reporting.
Identifies opportunities to improve costing processes, inventory controls, and reporting accuracy.
Daily exposure to multiple information systems, including M3 (ERP system), Excel, DOMO, Prophix, and Salesforce.
Assists with physical inventories at locations across the Company.
Ability to work with external accountants providing special reports/analysis for year-end audits.
Ability to work as a team member, communicating with others in and outside the department to accomplish the Company’s goals.
Assists with special projects within the department and across the Company.
