About The Position

At BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, the Financial Analyst uses data-driven solutions and an entrepreneurial, team-oriented mindset to support the transformation of the automotive industry. The role supports accounting and close activities, forecasts, budgets, business plans, cost analysis, program financials, and reporting. It works with corporate finance and operations teams, monitors financial performance and cost drivers, and uses financial tools and large data sets to improve analysis and delivery.

The position requires full flexibility and readiness to consistently work across established standard, operating, and rotational schedules, including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. It is onsite at BlueOval Battery Park Michigan. The salary is listed in two possible salary-grade ranges: grade 7, $86,600–$144,900, and grade 8, $99,100–$166,200. Final salary grade and base pay depend on candidate skills and experience, job scope, responsibility, and competitive market value. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, with an internal control mindset.
• Proficiency with financial and accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex business processes.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work with large data sets.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CFA, or CMA.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of analytical tools such as Alteryx or Power BI.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting activities, including month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP.
• Support monthly accruals and reconciliations.
• Support explanations of variances versus actuals.
• Run ad hoc reports from S4 Hana Public Cloud to support reporting requirements.
• Support forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
• Lead monthly forecast collection and submission, and collaborate with the corporate finance team on report consolidation.
• Lead variance analysis versus prior year, prior quarter, and prior forecast.
• Partner with the operations team to ensure forecast accuracy.
• Monitor key cost drivers and identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Support cost analysis and business partnering.
• Analyze supplier cost changes and evaluate their financial impact.
• Support implementation cost tracking.
• Support program milestone financials and cross-functional communications.
• Provide financial input for program reviews and reporting.
• Ensure program financial assumptions are accurately reflected in monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and business plans.
• Track and analyze program financial performance against the approved business case or program budget.
• Support ad hoc finance analysis.
• Facilitate the use of advanced financial tools and analyze large data sets to improve delivery of responsibilities.
• Work across established standard, operating, and rotational schedules, including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
