About The Position

The Financial Analyst assists in managing the bank’s derivatives portfolio, with a focus on analyzing interest rate hedging strategies. The role supports balance sheet activities and MSR portfolio hedging, and assists with the bank’s debt and securitized issuance. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in fixed income portfolio management and/or a strong academic background in finance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in fixed income markets.

Nice To Haves

• MBA, CFA charter holder, or desire to work toward either.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of credit fundamentals.
• High level of understanding of rates markets, including interest rate swaps, swaptions, collars, and floors.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle complex business problems.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, or R.

Responsibilities

• Produce actionable market and economic research to support investment and hedging decisions.
• Ensure portfolio compliance and corporate governance standards are met.
• Assist in managing portfolio risk.
• Work jointly with credit and market risk teams on limit design and calibration.
• Assist with debt and securitized issuance.
• Work with AI to help drive process efficiencies.
• Contribute to the development of investment and portfolio management guidelines and strategies, including risk and return objectives, risk and concentration constraints, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
