About The Position

This role involves gathering and analyzing data from various sources to ensure data integrity for analysis. The Financial Analyst will provide consistent, relevant, and accurate data, along with guidance on available data and definitions. The position requires independence in resolving complex data issues and may involve providing guidance to junior personnel. The work environment is comfortable and indoors with minimal physical demands and no travel required.

Requirements

BS/BA in a related discipline OR MS/MA.
2-5 years of experience in a related field (for BS/BA) OR 2-4 years of experience in a related field (for MS/MA).
Skill in data analysis techniques to resolve missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies.
Ability to work independently with guidance on complex issues.
Ability to provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.

Nice To Haves

Certification is required in some areas.

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource to assigned clients in areas of expertise.
Gather and compile raw data, research industry trends and benchmarks, and normalize data for a centralized format.
Analyze, report, and compare data to industry/company benchmarks.
Determine trends and prepare cost analyses.
Define data definitions and document data limitations.
Prepare spreadsheets for data analysis.
Prepare reports with charts and graphs, mailing lists, maps, and ad hoc requests.
Make presentations.
Provide recommendations based on findings and analysis.
Provide input on policies and procedures.
Participate in department and interdepartmental projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
