About The Position
The Armour Group Limited is a leading hospitality, development, and construction company in Atlantic Canada with over 50 years of history. They are committed to environmental sustainability and community integration. The company is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team. This role will report to the VP Financial Accounting and Treasury and will collaborate with accounting staff and management teams across the Hospitality and Real Estate divisions.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to partnering with department leaders in the Hospitality division
- Proficient in the use of Excel
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong analytical thinker who operates with a high attention to detail
- University degree or technical diploma with a focus in finance or accounting
- Minimum 2-3 years related experience.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct or Yardi accounting software, considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Prepare timely and accurate journal entries as required in completing the day-to-day accounting and financial month-end close process
- Perform account reconciliation and ensure accuracy of cost allocation
- Work closely with sales, reservations and front desk, and provide support to resolve billing and payment issues in timely manner and maintenance customer service satisfaction
- Prepare and analyze working papers and financial results for corporate administration and internal service organizations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for hotels, corporate administration and internal service organization and review these reports with each department head.
- Assist with activities related to the year-end audit and annual budget
