About The Position

The Financial Analyst will maintain and enter data into the cost accounting module and serve as a backup for charge master entry. This role participates in studies to improve hospital operations, reimbursement, and financial effectiveness. The analyst will assist with and perform financial and cost accounting analysis of data, prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, and extract financial data from various accounting and information systems, utilizing knowledge of the hospital's financial accounting systems.

Requirements

• Five years’ financial experience in health care industry required
• Professional knowledge of financial analysis, and/or healthcare reimbursement
• Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word procession required

Nice To Haves

• Additional education may be substituted for some experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or clinical degree, certification or experience
• Some familiarity with the healthcare system either through undergraduate degree or work experience
• Experience in healthcare reimbursement a plus
• Experience with Excel, access, and monarch a plus
