About The Position

We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Financial Analyst (FA) to join the Firmwide Finance Department. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, the FA is accountable for management reporting, financial analysis, and a variety of financial accounting activities. The FA will also be involved in budgeting, planning and forecasting. The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be collaborative, professional, adaptable, positive and interested in their work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred); however, an equivalent combination of education, lived experience, and professional expertise will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP/ASPE.
  • Experience analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports, statements, and forecasts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize AI and automation tools to improve financial reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 3E or Elite Enterprise is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries.
  • Review and validate cost allocations in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly financial performance packages with key insights, trends, and commentary for leadership.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for management and leadership.
  • Support the development of three-year plans, operating budgets, and forecasts.
  • Analyze monthly financial results, including identifying and explaining budget variances to management.
  • Reconcile sub-ledger and general ledger account balances.
  • Perform account reconciliations and analysis, including posting necessary adjustments and reclassifications.
  • Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet schedules (e.g., prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, intercompany accounts).
  • Prepare and review indirect tax filings, including reconciliations, ensuring compliance with applicable tax legislation and timely remittance of tax obligations.
  • Provide timely financial information and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with process improvements and special projects as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
