About The Position

Humboldt Senior Resource Center is looking for a full-time financial analyst to join the team. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday with flexibility between 7 am and 6 pm (8 hours/day). The Financial Analyst supports the financial operations, reporting, and analytical needs of the Redwood Coast PACE program. Under the direction of the Director of Finance, this role assists with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, operational analysis, regulatory reporting, and other financial planning activities. The Financial Analyst works collaboratively with leadership, operational teams, third-party vendors, and regulatory partners to provide accurate financial information, helpful analysis, and support for effective financial management of the PACE program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, healthcare finance, reimbursement, or a related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting functions.
  • Requires clearance of a DOJ and FBI criminal history background check.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skills when evaluating financial and operational information and identifying appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial, operational, and utilization data and communicate meaningful findings to support organizational goals and decision-making.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet multiple reporting, accounting, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with the ability to prepare and analyze a variety of financial and operational reports.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and prepare financial information accurately and identify trends, variances, and areas requiring additional attention.
  • Experience developing, tracking, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other performance measures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, accounting and financial software, and web-based applications, with the ability to learn new systems as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial and operational information clearly and professionally to staff, leadership, external partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate active listening, receive direction, and maintain a cooperative and supportive approach.
  • Maintains confidentiality, reliability, and professional and ethical standards, including consistent attendance and timely completion of assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial, operational, and utilization reports for executive leadership and program management.
  • Assist with financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, trend analysis, and long-range financial modeling.
  • Conduct financial and operational analysis related to PACE program initiatives, reimbursement, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate and assist with CMS, DHCS, and HPMS reporting requirements, including Part D reconciliations and DIR reporting.
  • Assist with the annual Milliman Part D Bid process and DHCS annual rate development submissions.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports, forecasts, and other required regulatory filings.
  • Support management of pharmacy benefit manager financial operations including invoice review, payment processing, coding, and reconciliation activities.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly benchmarking and KPI reporting to leadership and operational teams.
  • Participate in industry and regulatory meetings with organizations such as CalPACE and National PACE Association and provide summaries and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support annual audits and program-specific financial reviews conducted by internal and external auditors.
