About The Position

Commonwealth Rolled Products is seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst to join its Finance team in Lewisport, Kentucky. The role supports the finance and operations departments by analyzing financial data, supporting financial planning and forecasting, and delivering insights to help drive business performance. It also assists with general accounting tasks, including journal entries, expense variance analysis, and account reconciliations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work individually and in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

Participate in maintaining a zero-incident safety culture.

Analyze actual expenses against budget at month-end and prepare reports for finance personnel or department managers as requested.
Create and post assigned journal entries in Oracle.
Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
Complete balance sheet reconciliation requirements as needed.
Support Finance leadership with financial analysis and special projects as requested.
Continuously improve reporting processes.
Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting, including working capital, cash conversion costs, SG&A costs, cash flow, and liquidity.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Assist with offsite physical inventory cycle counts as needed.
