About The Position

GFT is seeking an Entry Level Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team in Mechanicsburg, PA! This role follows a hybrid-remote work model, requiring a minimum of 3 days of onsite office attendance. The GFT Strategic Services team, which includes Human Resources, Legal, Accounting & Finance, Office Operations, IT Services and Marketing & Communications, are essential for managing and supporting the company's global operations. Strategic Services is part of a broader strategy to transform the business and improve efficiency. The support of this amazing team of professionals is the backbone of our ability to deliver infrastructure consulting and design services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics or Computer Science.
  • 0–3 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in accounting and financial planning through prior internships, applied academic coursework, or related work experiences.
  • Prior experience with Power BI or interest in learning.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP’s, basic pivot tables, and data formatting).
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Ability to manage tasks and timelines efficiently
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Strong problem analysis and solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the FP&A department in maintaining data integrity, generating foundational reports, and assisting in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Support the senior team in the extraction and validation of data from the ERP during system conversion.
  • Prepare monthly financial report shells and update standardized dashboards for review.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the data integrity to ensure consistent reporting across all business units.
  • Assist in the automating of financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial and data models and forecasting systems to support annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasts, project and resource planning, and long-term planning initiatives.
  • Perform basic variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) for assigned departments or project sets.
  • Help troubleshoot data discrepancies between the project and general ledger.
  • Provide support for the budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
