Our Venture Capital team is at the heart of the Dell Technologies Family Innovation Engine. It invests in emerging startups and provides the resources, expertise, and scale to help them reach their full potential. The Dell Technologies Capital investment team invests over $150M annually across a number of sectors including Silicon, Enterprise Infrastructure, Developer/DevOps, Apps & Data Services, and Cyber Security. This team has been the key investor in category defining startups such as Arista Networks (ANET), Cylance, Docusign (DOCU), Graphcore, JFrog, Nutanix (NTNX), RedLock, and Zscaler (ZS). You’ll be operating in a small, high performing team supporting our investors in early stage deal sourcing, market/theme analyses, competitive assessments, investment diligence, financial modeling, and assisting in formal program and investment opportunities thesis development. What you’ll achieve We are seeking a financial analyst to work on various initiatives in a dynamic, fast paced environment within a premier corporate venture firm. You will deliver key market analyses, complete valuation and exit analysis, and conduct startup/early stage scans for landscape analysis as well as financial modelling. We want you if you are an individual with exceptional organizational, and communication skills; can handle multiple project tasks while working within deadlines and interacting effectively across many levels of management.

Requirements

• Regularly reviews technology blogs and research reports (e.g. VentureBeat, and TechCrunch, etc.)
• Ability to conduct primary research on a wide range of technology and business areas
• Experience with scripting and parsing tools and techniques, SQL, databases, and use of open source software along with w orking knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, Salesforce.
• Project/Program/Finance and Business Development experience
• A preliminary understanding of the venture capital industry and structure

Responsibilities

• Conduct early stage venture market analysis, startup landscapes, market opportunity sizing, and assess emerging venture areas
• Complete financial analysis for valuations and exit analysis
• Responsible for managing and tracking new start-ups and i nput portfolio data into tracking tool for financial modeling and portfolio reporting
• Research and develop market intelligence overviews and strategic tie-ins to Dell Technologies Strategically Aligned Businesses
• Work with Sr. Mgmt. and Managing Directors on refining investment themes, market landscapes, strategic issues and directed investment opportunities
