Financial Analyst – QCT OpEx Finance
About The Position
The Financial Analyst will work in QCT Finance, managing R&D headcount and expense reporting for the Mobile, Compute, XR, Infrastructure, and Tech business units. The role consolidates R&D actuals and forecasts by project and group and allocates headcount and expense targets to groups and business units. Monthly and quarterly work includes variance analysis, financial reporting, and management-level presentations. The analyst will also perform ad hoc analysis and proactively improve finance-related business processes. The position involves working with Program Management, Product Management, Engineering, Finance business unit teams, and QCT’s Engineering Planning Roadmap. It requires extensive use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau for projects and presentations. The successful candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, accurate, and comfortable managing multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced environment. This position is not eligible for Qualcomm immigration sponsorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 1 year of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
- A completed advanced degree in a relevant field may substitute for up to one year of work experience; a master's degree substitutes for one year.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
- Strict attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and analytical tools and frameworks.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
- Prior work experience in the wireless or telecommunications industry.
- Experience with Tableau and Cognos TM1 or similar tools.
