About The Position

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. The role will primarily focus on production and sales forecasting. As a key member of the FP&A team, our primary goal is to provide the highest quality financial and business information that is insightful and actionable, enabling effective decision-making at all levels to improve the Company's financial performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree or CFA/CPA a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience, or 3+ years of experience with Master’s degree in manufacturing or tech industry experience, or public firm experience, preferred in FP&A, cost management, or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Microsoft Excel, BI, Tableau or similar data analysis software
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is preferred
  • Strong understanding of industry technology and market dynamics related to SMC products.
  • Prior experience in Engineering and Operations support with inventory management skills is preferred.
  • Knowledge of product cost structures and understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of SMC’s products and production, and create business metrics that are insightful and useful to improve the Company’s performance.
  • Assist with quotation-related financial analysis , including alignment with accounting actuals and forecast views.
  • Support FP&A leadership with consolidated financial analysis and forecasting activities, including cash flow planning at a global level.
  • Establish strong partnerships with production and other supporting organizations in the company to provide insightful business and financial dashboards
  • Establish dynamic reporting structures that cover actual, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Create informative dashboards and reports to visually represent financial data and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Apply strong data management skills to collect, organize, and analyze financial information effectively.
  • Manage multiple assignments concurrently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
