About The Position

TMB has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Financial Analyst to support Team Ships Front Office (TSFO).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent U.S. military service experience.
  • 1-5 years of experience providing financial analysis support to U.S. Navy program offices.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Eligibility to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
  • Ability to be able to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
  • Ability to be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in a backpack or messenger bag in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance of the Cost of Doing Business (CODB) budget workbook by gathering Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) budget structures from program offices, tracking budgets and allocations, monitoring spend plans, and identifying under-executed funds for possible realignment.
  • Assist in the preparation of CODB funding documents in the ERP accounting database; track the funding documents through the process to completion and Performing Activity acceptance.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the weekly budget execution workbooks to track program budgets and allocations. Monitor funds execution against obligation and expenditure benchmarks.
  • Assist in coordinating program office responses for financial data calls from organizations such as NAVSEA 01, PAE Maritime, FMB. Assist in preparation of other periodic and ad hoc reports as required.
  • Assist with downloading Budget Exhibits from PBIS at each budget cycle to assemble binders for program leadership and assist in preparing accompanying summary budget reports.
  • Assist in the identification of expiring funds and efforts to determine if funds are available for recoupment. Assist with the recoupment and realignment of funds as applicable.
  • Assist in the tracking of CODB funding document Work Completion Dates (WCD). Develop plan as needed to extend WCD dates or recoup/reissue funds for funding documents with remaining unliquidated obligations.
  • Develop and improve proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Develop the ability to independently perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
  • Develop proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning Program (ERP), Planning, Computer Optimized Batch Reconciliation Application (COBRA), Electronic Data Warehouse (EDC), Secretary of the Navy Advanced Analytics (ADVANA), Program/Budget Information System (PBIS),Mechanization of Contract Administrative Services (MOCAS).
