About The Position

In your pivotal role as a Financial Analyst, you will plan, develop and coordinate the preparation of financial analyses and reports to assess the viability of long-range strategic and financial plans and programs including, but not limited to, operational and capital budgets, financial statements, statistical reports, cost analyses and other financial information; monitor results from program and project implementation; perform complex and specialized assignments in assigned area of expertise; perform lead role in coordinating complex projects; perform primarily post-award financial activities. This position works normal business hours Monday - Friday and offers the opportunity to work remotely. The Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical & Translational Research (VICTR) is Vanderbilt’s virtual home for clinical and translational research. Supported by Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Office of Research and the NIH-sponsored Clinical and Translational Service Award (CTSA), the mission of the institute is to transform the way ideas and research discoveries make their way from origin to patient care. VICTR functions to help researchers and clinicians do their jobs better by providing tools and support to improve the quality of research, publications, grant writing, and training for future doctors and researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Develops projections to model the financial impact of programs and projects.
  • Designs, develops, and modifies financial forecasting models and simulations for programs.
  • Accumulates and analyzes data from existing or established databases.
  • Analyzes, accumulates, and reviews data for financial reports.
  • Conducts technical research and prepares synopses on relevant topics.
  • Assembles data and compiles drafts, outlines and graphic materials for financial presentations.
  • Coordinates efforts of work group.
  • Analyzes the effects of proposed federal and state statutes and regulatory actions which may impact long range financial planning.
  • Analyzes future trends and indicators in related areas of interest.
  • Reviews data to analyze trends affecting budget needs.
  • Performs primarily post-award financial activities.
