About The Position

Provide support to the department and Carilion organization through the preparation of financial studies, evaluations, analyses or taxes. Specific duties and responsibilities vary based on the location of the position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 1-3 years healthcare finance to augment education if needed.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, and other personal computer software.

Responsibilities

• Communicates financial information and educates key stakeholders in an effective manner.
• Leads post-award and financial monitoring for grants and clinical trials including invoice management, tracking, account reconciliation and closeout
• Prepare applicable fiscal reports for sponsored programs and ensure the timely submission thereof.
• Assists in development of financial presentations.
• Measures, analyzes, and reports on productivity.
• Effectively manages working on multiple projects at management direction.
• Compiles and reviews data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Serves as a liaison with core support departments and is a team player.
• Assists in coordination of planning process and business forecasting.
• Prepare month end entries for grants and clinical trials, perform general bookkeeping duties as needed, and assist with month and year end close processes.
• Assist with preparation for financial audits
