Door Doctor, located in Lachine, Quebec, is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the organization's financial performance through accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and strong business partnering. This role will be responsible for managing financial records, analyzing results, preparing reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and GAAP.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to partner with business leaders and translate financial results into actionable insights.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation (or working toward one) is considered an asset.
  • experience with Sage is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliation
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
  • Analyze financial results against budget, forecast, prior year performance, and strategic objectives, providing recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards (GAAP), tax regulations, and internal company policies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing required documentation.
  • Act as a power user for Sage and Novoconn, ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, financial visibility, and overall business performance.
