About The Position

Responsible for supporting the financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities of the US Similac Nutrition business. This role will partner with the Similac finance team and cross-functional partners to develop key expense forecasts and budgets. This role will specifically oversee Similac Excess and Obsolete (E&O) and Advertising, Promotion and Gratis (AP&G) investment (advertising, promotion and gratis) including reserves management and month-end close responsibilities. The Financial Analyst delivers financial insights, variance analysis, and recommendations that enable sound business decisions and drive financial performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, operational finance, or a related finance function
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business performance analysis
• Strong PC/system skills
• Excel and PowerPoint expertise is a must.
• Advanced ability to develop Ad-Hoc reports using tools such as Cognos and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage Excess & Obsolete (E&O) reserve processes, including analysis, reporting, forecasting, and identification of financial risks and opportunities.
• Lead month-end close activities for Similac AP&G, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support the development of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range financial plans for AP&G, E&O and OMC lines of P&L.
• Perform detailed variance analysis of actual results versus forecast, budget, and prior year performance, identifying key business drivers and trends.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate financial results, provide actionable insights, and support informed business decision-making.
• Prepare and distribute financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations that highlight performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Ensure financial accuracy and compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance financial reporting, forecast accuracy, and overall business performance.
• Collaborate with business partners to evaluate the financial impacts of strategic initiatives, spending proposals, and operational changes.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
