About The Position
The Financial Analyst will be a highly motivated professional with strong technical and communication skills who provides financial and business analysis to help teams make well-informed decisions. The position delivers regular reporting and insights to evaluate current performance and emerging business trends. This is a dynamic role within an exciting, high-growth organization, with exposure to Operations, Marketing, Financial Planning, and other teams across the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience in planning, forecasting, and variance analysis is required
- Strong Excel and financial-modeling experience required
- Strategic, analytical thinker with strong bias for fact-based decision-making
- Demonstrates tenacity in meeting goals and developing solutions to business challenges
- Resourceful, able to learn quickly, and committed to continuous learning and self-improvement
- Well organized and detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Collaborative team player who is willing to cross-train and assist fellow team members as needed
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable and able to excel in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and conditions
- Understands generative AI platforms and their practical applications in business analysis, research, and presentations
Nice To Haves
- Prior restaurant or retail experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience with Power BI is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and management of the annual plan and ongoing financial forecasts
- Serve as the central point of coordination between Finance and Operations, including compiling and analyzing monthly operational KPIs to help drive performance improvement
- Develop materials to support monthly financial-results reviews and quarterly earnings announcements
- Work cross-functionally to help advance strategic company initiatives
- Conduct analyses to identify business trends and cost-savings opportunities
- Analyze large datasets to understand key business drivers, translate findings into actionable insights, and evaluate their implications for the overall business
- Influence organizational decision-making through compelling presentations and data-driven storytelling for leadership and other stakeholders
- Develop and enhance data-visualization tools that effectively communicate insights
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes
- Complete ad hoc requests and analyses as needed
