About The Position

Energy Exploration Technologies has a mission to become a worldwide leader in the global transition to sustainable energy. Founded in 2018, the company is fundamentally changing the way humanity powers our world and stores clean energy with breakthrough lithium-ion technologies and energy-storage solutions. The Role EnergyX is looking for a motivated Financial Analyst to support financial reporting and data analytics for the company’s management team. You’ll translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights that help drive executive decision-making. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role at a company building something genuinely new: ideal for someone who thrives with autonomy, has experience engaging with investors, and is eager to grow alongside a scaling business. Note this is an onsite role (Austin, TX).

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills with the ability to build and present dashboards
  • Experience with investor interactions and fundraising processes
  • Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau

Nice To Haves

  • Masters or MBA optional
  • CPA or CFA designation is a plus
  • Background in a start-up, investment bank, Big-4 transaction services, private equity preferred or other corporate finance role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans
  • Support monthly tracking, including variance analysis of actuals against targets
  • Produce insights and recommendations to optimize financial outcomes
  • Prepare analyses, KPIs, and dashboards for management and stakeholders
  • Evaluate trends, patterns, and areas of concern and present findings clearly
  • Identify areas for cost optimization
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations
  • Develop reporting packages as required by external stakeholders, including government agencies
  • Support fundraising activity for the company
  • Assist in preparing investor communications and updates throughout fundraising processes
  • Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Engineering, and Technology teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data
  • Provide support during monthly/quarterly close processes, audits, and other financial activities
