About The Position

This position works in the Office of Unemployment Insurance Operations, Performance and Systems area, Finance Section, Accounting Unit. Responsibilities Bookkeeping Reporting – Prepare and transmit financial and statistical reports. Public Interaction – Communicate with customers by phone, email and other channels. Task Prioritization – Manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Teamwork – Support coworkers with daily tasks and special projects. Potential challenges of this position may include maintaining flexibility and adapting quickly as priorities change.

Requirements

  • Option 1: - 12 months experience as a Financial Associate, 66561.
  • Option 2: - 30 months experience or 30 months training in accounting and/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.
  • Option 3: - Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or a related field; AND - 6 months experience or 6 months training in accounting and/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.
  • Option 4: - Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
  • NOTE : Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Office Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to create and edit documents in Microsoft Word; familiarity with Microsoft Teams.
