About The Position

The Financial Analyst at Bass Pro Shops will provide critical financial analysis and insights to support our unique retail business. The ideal candidate will have a natural sense of curiosity, the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement, the courage to challenge the status quo, and the insight to make strategic recommendations that drive business success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis.
• Exceptional Excel skills to perform financial modeling and analysis.
• Ability to identify and understand trends through data and articulate results to all levels of leadership.
• Working knowledge of business intelligence applications and/or cloud services (e.g., PowerBI, etc).
• Has demonstrated financial acumen and/or experience in the areas of forecasting, budgeting and analysis.
• A self-starter with the ability to meet tight deadlines, balance competing priorities and achieve results in a rapidly changing work environment.
• Effective communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite of programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or professional certifications (CFA, CPA) preferred.
• Comfort working with complex data tables a plus.
• Knowledge of TM1 software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine complex financial models that forecast business performance.
• Prepare detailed reports on financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads.
• Analyze costs and spending, making recommendations for efficiencies and savings.
• Act as a key finance partner to business units, providing financial insights and support.
• Evaluate potential investments using financial modeling to assess risk and potential returns.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
