About The Position

This Financial Analyst role focuses on gathering, analyzing, and communicating financial information to support informed investment and business decisions. You will perform quantitative analyses of financial data, prepare clear reports and visualizations, and contribute to the standardization of financial processes. This position offers a hybrid work model and the opportunity to grow within a contract-to-hire arrangement.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of financial and/or accounting experience, including exposure to financial analysis and reporting.
  • Accounting experience with approximately 1–3 years of experience ideally, particularly in core accounting principles and practices.
  • Hands-on experience with balance sheet reconciliations and revenue reconciliations.
  • Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to present financial information clearly and accurately.
  • High attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills when reviewing and interpreting financial data.
  • Ability to work independently, manage one’s time effectively, and handle multiple tasks or deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses based on financial data.
  • Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles and the functioning of financial markets.
  • Knowledge of financial data reporting practices and standards.
  • Basic knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including building spreadsheets and using formulas for financial analysis.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to prepare written reports and presentations.
  • Familiarity with financial software or related financial systems used for reporting and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related financial discipline is required.
  • An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred and considered an asset.
  • Experience helping to establish, standardize, or improve financial processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to create charts and graphs to visually represent financial data and trends.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment that combines on-site and remote work.
  • Interest in contributing to long-term process centralization and standardization initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, organize, and analyze financial information to support investment and business decisions.
  • Conduct quantitative analyses of financial data affecting investment programs for public or private institutions.
  • Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions.
  • Interpret data related to investment programs, including price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risk.
  • Assemble spreadsheets to summarize financial data and support technical reports.
  • Create charts and graphs to visually illustrate financial trends, forecasts, and analytical findings.
  • Support financial reporting activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and revenue reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as part of overall financial analysis and reporting.
  • Help establish, document, and improve financial processes to support the centralization and standardization goals of the team.
  • Communicate financial findings clearly and professionally to internal stakeholders and clients, both verbally and in writing.
  • Manage assigned tasks and deadlines independently while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Use financial software and productivity tools to prepare reports, perform reconciliations, and support ongoing financial operations.
