About The Position

This Financial Analyst I role functions as a hybrid between financial analysis and project management. The selected candidate will support integrated system planning across electric, steam, and natural gas jurisdictions. The team manages a wide range of projects, some of which result in regulatory filings, while others are internal initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build and manage complex spreadsheets and models.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams for communication and coordination with distributed teams.
  • Experience in financial reporting, including preparing status reports, scorecards, and other project-related financial documents.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Exposure to generation, transmission, or distribution planning processes and concepts.
  • Experience working with or supporting large-scale system migration projects.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for financial and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage tactical implementation plans (TIPs) using Microsoft Excel to support system migration and integrated planning initiatives.
  • Track project milestones, monitor progress, and ensure tasks align with established timelines and objectives.
  • Prepare clear, concise weekly status reports and scorecards that summarize project progress, risks, and key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple jurisdictions and departments to ensure consistent execution and alignment with overall project goals.
  • Interface regularly with business area finance teams, capital asset accounting, and revenue requirements teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor supply chain timelines and dependencies related to project execution, while relying on other teams for direct ordering responsibilities.
  • Support the preparation and organization of regulatory filings, such as Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCNs) and rate cases, including related documentation and analyses.
  • Ensure project schedules remain current, adjusting timelines as needed and managing escalations when delays or issues arise.
