Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in administration or accounting
  • Relevant experience as a financial analyst (2 to 4 years)
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Able to popularize operational activities and transpose them into a financial context
  • Demonstrate flexibility, collaboration and initiative
  • Excel (Formula, macro and programming an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client, product, and operational profitability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain profitability models (by customer, route, service, etc.).
  • Monitor and report on target margins, including detailed variance analysis and actionable insights.
  • Identify cost-saving and revenue optimization opportunities across operations (e.g., sort, linehaul, compensation).
  • Prepare and present financial reports for key stakeholders.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure data integrity and validate inputs from various stakeholders to challenge assumptions and improve accuracy.
  • Build dashboards and automated reporting tools to enhance visibility on financial performance.
  • Partner with Sales teams to review P&L performance, revenue trends, and forecasts.
  • Lead regular business reviews with Sales to evaluate profitability and performance against targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that improve margins and efficiency.
  • Support international business units with financial analysis and performance tracking.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, particularly on revenue and profitability components.
  • Develop financial projections and scenario analyses to support strategic planning.
  • Monitor actual performance against revenue forecasts and explain key variances.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews of initiatives to assess financial impact and identify improvement areas.
  • Recommend process enhancements to improve financial tracking, reporting accuracy, and decision-making.
  • Drive standardization of profitability analysis methodologies across the organization.
  • Support financial analysis and business case development for special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Support leadership with data-driven insights for key business decisions.
