About The Position

American Welding & Gas, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst in
our Raleigh, NC corporate office location.

This position has the primary responsibility of supporting the financial
operations of the business as well as other activities consistent with financial
analysis; including but not limited to budgeting, account analysis, monthly
financial performance reviews and other duties and ad hoc analysis as required
and assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• 3-5 years of related experience
• Strong computer skills, especially MS Office skills such as, Access, PowerPoint and strong Excel (Dynamics and Power BI preferred, but not required)
• Ability to learn new computer applications quickly
• Analytical and critical thinking skills are required
• Travel: 10% or less

Nice To Haves

• FP&A experience is a plus
• Dynamics and Power BI preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
• Support the Sr Management Team as needed
• Other duties as assigned
