About The Position

Financial Partners Credit Union, recognized as a Top Workplace by USA Today, the Orange County Register, and the Los Angeles Times, and named one of the Best Credit Unions to Work For by American Banker and one of the Best Credit Unions in California by Forbes, is seeking a motivated and analytical professional to join our team as a Financial Analyst.   In this role, you will assist in preparing and analyzing financial performance and projections to support senior management in achieving strategic objectives. You will assist with recurring reporting, perform ad hoc analysis, and support the monitoring of key financial metrics and trends that drive business decisions. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in financial analysis who is detail-oriented, curious, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant financial analysis or planning experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply broad financial concepts to technical and analytical applications.
  • Experience developing dynamic, PC-based financial models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of data and identify meaningful, big-picture trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information clearly.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functional areas.
  • High level of proficiency with spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, budgeting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and analyzing recurring financial reports to support leadership decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing weekly Asset Liability Management and Risk Management (ALCO) reports.
  • Prepare financial reports including GL variance reports, FICO reporting, and Federal Home Loan Bank availability reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Assist in preparing pricing models for consumer, mortgage, and business lending for ALCO review and approval.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining financial models to support planning and analysis activities.
  • Prepare daily liquidity calculations.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly liquidity reporting.
  • Prepare board policy compliance calculations related to financial and risk management reporting.
  • Assist in supporting and maintaining financial databases including Profitstar and nCino (formerly Visible Equity).
  • Assist with the daily mortgage pipeline hedge file and monitor closed mortgage loans to ensure timely sale.
  • Assist in interpreting financial data to identify trends and support insights into performance and opportunities.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities, including routine reporting and time-sensitive analytical requests, and determine relative priorities.
  • Must demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
  • Must maintain a strong commitment to ethical conduct, accountability, and adherence to company policies and standards, including raising questions or concerns when appropriate.
