Goldman Sachs Personal Wealth (PW) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PW Teams work with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Advisors deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax-efficient solutions, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond. Our Financial Analysts provide relationship management and support to PWM by monitoring portfolio holdings, analyzing asset allocations, researching potential investments, understanding financial market developments and trends, and executing trades while gaining a broad-based understanding of the asset management business. Additionally, analysts are responsible for the onboarding of client relationships, ensuring we meet our client's investment objectives, managing fraud, liquidity management, and ongoing relationship management.

Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, providing a strong analytical and conceptual foundation for a career in finance.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, maintaining clarity of thought and effectiveness under demanding circumstances.
  • Exhibit a strong, demonstrable interest in the financial markets, coupled with sound investment sense and commercial instinct to identify opportunities and navigate complexities.
  • Possess the ability to effectively multi-task and seamlessly collaborate with numerous colleagues and desks across the Firm, fostering a cohesive and productive work environment.
  • Command strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial concepts clearly, concisely, and persuasively to diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and superior interpersonal abilities to build rapport and manage relationships effectively.
  • Hold or be prepared to obtain within three months of employment the SIE, Series 3, 7, and 63 licenses, underscoring your commitment to regulatory compliance and foundational securities knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate intimately with Private Wealth Advisors to provide comprehensive support for relationship management and sophisticated investment processes, catering to the unique needs of high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients, family offices, university endowments, and nonprofits.
  • Proactively monitor client portfolios, meticulously assessing manager performance, identifying strategic re-balancing opportunities, and recommending tactical investment ideas to optimize returns and manage risk effectively.
  • Design and create bespoke asset allocation proposals for new clients, integrating a broad spectrum of managers, investment styles, and vehicles. Ensure these strategies align perfectly with client risk profiles, investment objectives, and the firm’s strategic market views.
  • Prepare compelling, client-facing materials that clearly depict asset allocation strategies, detailed portfolio and risk analytics, historical performance, and insightful economic and market reviews, enhancing client understanding and engagement.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on both internal and third-party investment opportunities across public and private markets, ensuring all recommendations meet the highest standards of quality and suitability.
  • Synthesize complex research material into clear, actionable insights and effectively communicate the firm's strategic views to clients, empowering informed decision-making.
  • Actively support business development efforts by conducting in-depth research on qualified prospects and meticulously tracking relevant capital raises, contributing directly to the expansion of our client base.
  • Facilitate the execution of trades on behalf of clients across a diverse range of products, including equities, equity options, fixed income, and currencies, ensuring seamless market access and efficient transaction processing.
  • Plan and meticulously manage the new account onboarding process, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for new clients.
  • Provide comprehensive overviews of client reporting capabilities and web functionalities to potential new clients, showcasing our commitment to transparency and cutting-edge digital solutions.
