The Financial Analyst is responsible for the Company’s preparation and coordination of external consolidated financial statements and management discussion and analysis (MD&A). This position is also responsible for consolidation of the annual budget including a multi-year financial plan and forecast along with assisting in preparation of reports to senior management and the Board of Directors. The Financial Analyst oversees the day-to-day accounting for assigned corporate-level accounts/transactions, makes decisions on how to display and explain financial results and is responsible to identify trouble spots and follow up on trends or issues that will be of concern to senior management. This position is responsible for maintaining the Company’s financial accounting policies and for ensuring that the financial reports are accurate, complete and in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) disclosure requirements and the Company’s financial accounting policies while ensuring compliance with internal controls over financial reporting carried out by the Corporate Reporting group.
