About The Position

This role involves consolidating and supporting planning and reporting processes, including monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and multi-year outlooks. The Financial Analyst will interact with senior management to discuss risks, opportunities, and forecast variances, providing key business insights to facilitate informed decision-making. The position requires partnering with business leaders to assess and communicate business performance, trends, and strategic trade-offs. Responsibilities include developing timely budget vs. actual and forecast vs. actual reporting, collaborating with accounting during the monthly close process for financial accuracy and variance analysis, and driving process improvement initiatives for new store openings and concepts. The role also supports quarterly financial reporting for board and investor requirements, creates and analyzes financial reporting and KPIs, and builds financial models to generate insights and recommendations. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will identify and drive cross-functional initiatives to improve processes, systems, and automation to support business scaling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree - Finance, Economics, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Detail-oriented and ability to produce work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Superb analytical/quantitative and communication skills
  • Ownership mentality and demonstrated ability to independently drive projects to completion, with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability using statistical analysis or large data sets
  • A thoughtful collaborator, and great listener, keenly focused on understanding business challenges, building strong relationships, and driving even stronger outcomes
  • An excellent communicator capable of translating complex, nuanced, or detailed analysis into clear, actionable summaries or recommendations
  • Comfortable in ambiguity, thrive through change, are highly adaptable, and can create clarity and focus in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
  • Builder mentality - identifies problems quickly and is eager to build solutions from scratch, not just improve on others work

Nice To Haves

  • Tableau/Power BI/Other Business Intelligence tool skills a plus
  • SQL knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support quarterly financial reporting in conjunction with board and investor requirements
  • Creates and analyzes financial reporting and KPIs, as requested
  • Structure, build, and maintain financial and decision-making models to develop meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
  • Identify and drive cross-functional initiatives to improve processes, systems, and automation to help the business scale
