About The Position

Maxim is seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across the organization. The role partners with Finance and operational leaders to analyze results, develop forecasts, and provide timely, actionable insights to improve business performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management.
Strong project orientation, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical skills.
Strong knowledge of Excel.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Support the annual budgeting process from initial planning through management and Board approval.
Build and maintain budget and forecast templates for business leaders.
Prepare short-term forecasts using relevant industry, operational, and financial drivers.
Perform monthly variance analysis of actual results against budget and forecast, and communicate key drivers, risks, and recommended actions.
Develop business cases and ad hoc financial analyses to support operating and capital-investment decisions.
Participate in long-range planning, including fleet plans and five-year financial projections.
Assist in developing monthly backlog reporting and related analysis.
Create reports and dashboards, including relevant industry benchmarks, to help managers evaluate performance.
Analyze large data sets from sources such as the general ledger, CRM, and Excel to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
Collect, validate, and organize financial and operational data for financial models and analyses.
Maintain organized workpapers and meet established reporting deadlines.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
