About The Position

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this role will play a key part in supporting financial planning, forecasting, cash flow management, and month-end activities while providing valuable insights that help drive business decisions. As the Financial Analyst, you will work closely with the Vice President, Finance to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and operational decision-making. You will be responsible for analyzing business performance, identifying trends, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strong analytical skills with commercial business insight and is looking to make an impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Controllership, or a similar finance role.
  • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using ERP or accounting systems such as Microsoft GP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is considered an asset.
  • CPA designation, CPA candidate, CFA studies, or equivalent professional development is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the VP, Finance with financial analysis, business reviews, and management reporting.
  • Analyze revenue, client profitability, operating expenses, payroll costs, and cash flow trends.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, dashboards, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting activities.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and monitor daily cash positions.
  • Analyze Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable trends to support cash flow management.
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
  • Translate financial data into meaningful business insights for operational leaders.
  • Identify financial risks, opportunities, and areas for improved business performance.
  • Partner with operational leaders to understand business drivers and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support external audits and respond to audit requests as required.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
