Trissential is hiring a Financial Analyst – Capital Project Intake to join our client’s Project Intake team. This role sits at the heart of software and IT investment decisions—ensuring projects are properly reviewed, governed, and financially classified in line with capitalization policies. Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in project coordination, intake support, finance operations, or similar roles
• Strong understanding of Capital vs Expense financial treatment
• Experience supporting software or IT infrastructure projects
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and compliance
• Ability to work effectively in structured, process-driven environments
• Proven experience coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
• Equivalent professional experience will also be considered
• Authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Background in PMO support, IT governance, or business analysis
• Exposure to software capitalization or IT financial tracking
• Hands-on experience using JIRA and/or SharePoint for intake workflows
• Experience working within formal approval or governance frameworks

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and coordinate project intake requests for software and IT initiatives
• Ensure submissions are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal capitalization policies
• Route intake requests through supporting governance teams efficiently
• Partner with project managers, finance teams, and IT stakeholders to resolve intake questions
• Support accurate financial classification of project activities (Capital vs. Expense)
• Maintain strong data integrity across intake tools such as JIRA and SharePoint
• Assist with documentation and continuous improvement of intake and governance processes
