About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. In this role, you will serve as a primary business partner to the Marketing organization, supporting the development of the annual budget and ongoing tracking to plan. You will provide timely, accurate financial insights that help business leaders drive results. The ideal candidate is skilled in accrual accounting, especially as it relates to the timing of marketing spend, and brings strong interpersonal skills, sound business judgment, and a proactive, creative approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for delivering clear and concise financial analyses, monitoring operational and financial performance, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Comfortable working with financial systems and data sets
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement even in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modeling
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Independent and team oriented, a “can do” attitude with high attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of planning and performance processes, including annual budget and monthly forecast
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in the entertainment industry.
  • Experience with Workday and/or Adaptive planning

Responsibilities

  • Lead quarterly forecasts, annual budgeting, and long-range planning for assigned business units.
  • Perform accurate monthly and quarterly variance and trend analyses; present findings to Marketing and other operational leaders.
  • Support and troubleshoot financial system applications; manage scheduled and ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional teams using strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Support special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain detailed financial models in Excel.
  • Develop and manage key financial, operational, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and recommend actions to increase revenue, reduce costs, and improve efficiencies.
  • Support financial system configuration, documentation, testing, implementation, and evolving system requirements for strategic initiatives
