About The Position

The Financial Analyst will review, audit, and code daily accounting transactions for entry into the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS). This role involves posting transactions and/or payments, providing guidance to Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) sections and district staff on fiscal matters, and conducting complex reconciliation of records. The analyst will also prepare daily deposits and enter them into OAKS, monitor revenue from various sources, and process Intra-State Transfer Vouchers (ISTV) for reimbursements.

Requirements

  • Option 1: 30 months experience or 30 months training in accounting and/or finance, including an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.
  • Option 2: Completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field; AND 6 months experience or 6 months training in accounting and/or finance, including an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.
  • Option 3: 12 months experience as a Financial Associate, 66561.
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment.
  • Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.
