About The Position

This Financial Analyst role is a highly analytical, data-driven position focused on large-scale data analysis, executive reporting, and dashboard development. The individual in this role will compile and analyze complex financial and operational data sets to deliver forward-looking analysis, real-time performance monitoring and business insights. The role partners closely with business leaders, IT, and Business Intelligence (BI) teams to develop, enhance, and maintain reporting solutions, dashboards, and analytical tools. The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Experience working with large data sets, reporting tools and dashboards strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of finance, financial methods, tools and strategies
  • Advanced ability to analyze, synthesize and draw accurate conclusions from complex data
  • Strong systems aptitude and ability to partner effectively with IT and BI teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights
  • Ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material
  • Knowledge of and ability to use processes, tools and techniques for exploring and evaluating alternative financial scenarios and results
  • Knowledge of the functions, tools and processes needed to manage financial assets and liabilities throughout the organization
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting applications specific to the organization

  • Experience in SAC is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, reviews, and analyzes reports and data, monitoring for accuracy and completeness and making recommendations for improvement
  • Develops daily and weekly projections and performance metrics used by executive leaders to guide decisions throughout the month
  • Creates, maintains and enhances dashboards and reports within SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to provide timely, accurate and actionable insights
  • Prepares and delivers clear, concise financial and analytical reporting to key stakeholders, including senior and executive leadership
  • Maintains and reviews records and data to ensure compliance with all corporate policies and all GAAP, local, state and federal law
  • Provides requested analytical and financial information to key stakeholders
  • Creates tools, models, and analyses that measure key performance indicators and report to key stakeholders
  • Implements proper internal controls to contain costs and increase efficiencies
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives for analytics, reporting processes and information flow
  • Partners with IT and BI teams on data, reporting and analytics initiatives, including system enhancements, automation and data governance
