About The Position

The Financial Analyst providing support to PRMD/FMB is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and data analysis. This role involves extracting and validating financial data from government systems, analyzing it to identify discrepancies and trends, and providing inputs for dashboard teams. The analyst will also support audit readiness activities, resolve unmatched transactions, and prepare responses to audit findings. Collaboration with dashboard teams for output formatting and interface improvements is key. Additionally, the role contributes to budget tracking, expenditure analysis, compliance reviews, and the development of a Quality Control (QC) program.

Requirements

  • 5 years with BS/BA; or 9 years with a HS diploma.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Must be a U.S citizen.
  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.), databases (SQL etc.).
  • Understanding of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Defense Health Agency (DHA) Ektropy application experience a plus.
  • Six (6) years of progressive experience in this discipline.
  • Have or obtain favorable Tier 1 investigation.
  • Prior DoD experience; Defense Health Agency or Military Health System experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and data analysis.
  • Extract and validate financial data from government systems, including Ektropy, SharePoint List 365, and GFEBS.
  • Analyze data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide accurate inputs for dashboard teams to generate relational view outputs (Excel, PDF, PowerPoint.
  • Support audit readiness activities, including documentation, validation, and remediation of findings.
  • Maintain Key Supporting Documents (KSDs) for audit purposes.
  • Resolve unmatched transactions and validate unliquidated obligations (ULOs).
  • Prepare responses to audit findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide recommendations for interface improvements and collaborate with dashboard teams.
  • Collaborate with dashboard teams to assist in formatting outputs and ensuring alignment with government standards.
  • Present recommendations for interface improvements to the Deputy and Chief, FMB, as required.
  • Assist in broader financial reporting tasks, including budget tracking, expenditure analysis, and compliance reviews.
  • Contribute to budget tracking, expenditure analysis, and compliance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain a Quality Control (QC) program to ensure data reliability.
